Question: What do President Obama and SMBLive Have in Common?
Answer: Both are committed to helping SMBs survive this difficult economy.
Just this afternoon The Washington Post reported that President Obama is considering plans to make a portion of the $700 billion in Federal bailout funds directly available to small businesses. I’ve not had a chance to think deeply about the policy implications — but on the surface, it appears to be a major shift from “helping big banks” to “helping small businesses” who employ millions of people and serve as the backbone of our entire economy.
For it’s part, SMBLive is launching a new service on Monday called CloudProfile, an incredibly simple but powerful service that helps small businesses promote themselves online and attract more customers.

SMBLive CloudProfile to the Rescue
Regardless of whether your Obama or SMBLive — the truth is that the macro economy is difficult for everyone, especially for millions of SMBs who lack the technical skills necessary to promote themselves in a modern web based economy. Indeed, with consumers spending less time looking in the Yellow Pages and more time on the web searching for local merchants and service providers — it’s critical that SMBs have access to simple and affordable tools to promote themselves online so they can be found whenever and wherever consumers are looking.
Enter CloudProfile. Different from traditional web sites and search marketing services, CloudProfile is remarkably simple and inexpensive and enables SMBs to talk about themselves online, engage prospects in authentic conversations, and monitor and respond to whatever consumers are saying on the social web.
I am not sure if Obama’s plan will go through or not? But i do know that SMBLive’s CloudProfile is here to stay — and i believe it’s likely to go a long way toward helping SMBs attract more customers online so they can recover from the current recession.
Be sure to check it out at www.cloudprofile.com. You’ll not be dissapointed.

you are kidding, right?? President Obama is committed to helping SMB’s???
I am a SMB and I haven’t seen a single thing that would help me as an SMB. Instead, exactly the opposite. Not a single dime has been made available to local businesses. Have you tried to get a loan lately??
What’s coming down the road is even worse. The Cap & Trade fiasco he is pushing is going to significantly up my energy costs, forcing me into some kind of health care coverage will result in my cutting (not hiring) more people, and all of the other legislation he and his Dem cronies are putting together are anti-business.
You need to get your head out of your broadband connection. this is classic big government socialistic bureaucrat that will tell you whatever you want to hear and do something totally different..
Ken:
Point taken. To be clear, I am not a policy maker and not pretending to be. And i don’t know if the Obama plan(s) will or will not work.
With, or without Obama — I believe it’s important to deliver simple and inexpensive tools to help SMBs market themselves online in world that is rapidly changing.
That’s where I am focused. http://www.cloudprofile.com
